Our Lady appeared to a 14 year old peasant girl at the Massabielle cave grotto in Lourdes, France. Her apparition appeared 18 times from February through July in 1858. The girl saw the apparition of a beautiful lady standing in the grotto holding a rosary, and she had two golden roses materialize at her feet.
Our Lady presented herself as the Immaculate Conception, one of the names she is known by.
